  Hints for Planning a Holiday or Social Event

 
  Using the NACC for a Holiday event

  • No open flame in the building
  • Use only masking tape when decorating the walls
  • Please clean up behind yourself
  • Bring your own decorations. Please do not take decorations or parts of decorations from the facility.
  • Remove all personal/corporate decorations from the facility upon conclusion of event.
  • All parties must be concluded by 5p.m.
  • Sound systems are available in the ballroom and patio room.
  • Let us know if you need power for potluck items i.e. crock-pots, coffee pots etc…
  • Linens for Social Events are not supplied by NACC. If you have a need for linens please feel free to bring your own.
  • Front and back entrances may be used to load and unload; please check in with staff upon arrival.


Customer Kitchen

  • Use of the kitchen is first come first serve. Customers may need to share the kitchen with each other.
  • First come first served includes use of ice, refrigerator, microwave, and sink.
  • NACC has NO Oven and NO Freezer
  • Please bring your own serving utensils, reg. utensils, to-go containers, plates, napkins, serving platters, drinks, and cups. NACC does not stock these items.
  • Please call ahead to ensure that ice is available.
  • Please clean the kitchen after use.
  • Food items may be dropped off 1 day prior to your event.
  • Please bring food items in plastic crates only, NO cardboard boxes.
  • Label your items, NACC is not responsible for them.


Food/Catering

  • If your event is being catered please supply the events coordinator with a copy of the invoice and catering information, such as, time of arrival.
  • Your organization or the caterer will need to supply linens for your tables.
  • Discard all food before leaving the building.
  • A list of approved caterers can be found on our website http://naccenter.arc.nasa.gov/
  • Confirm the number of tables caterer will need for food and beverage display.
  • Please have caterer check in with staff or event POC upon arrival and at departure.
  • Let the caterer know how many people you are expecting and whether or not you will be supplying any other food for the party. 
  • Please have the caterer supply to-go boxes.


Entertainment

  • Please know your AV requirements in advance, as we can not guarantee last minute requests.
  • Bands and DJs are permitted; however, approval needs to be obtained in advance with the events coordinator to make sure the noise would not disrupt any other NACC events.
  • Prior to arrival Bands/DJ's must check in with the Events coordinator and supply the following information: contact info, number of people expected, equipment, arrival time, and special requirements or needs. 
  • NACC will not guarantee your Band/DJ will be permitted to play in the facility until they have spoken to the events coordinator regarding the above requirements.
